Use the Optec 2500 Machine to Test Road Signs and Color Perception

1. Press the Red button on the small box to turn the machine on.

2. Press the top White button on the small box so it pops up.

3. Make sure both the Orange and Green buttons are pressed down.

4. Look at the number dial on the right side of the testing machine.

5. Notice how one of the numbers is lined up with the “FAR” slot.

Test for Road Signs

6. Press the Yellow “Advance” button so that number “7” is lined up with the “FAR” slot.

7. Press your forehead against the button on the top of the testing machine.

8. Look in the lenses – remember to keep your forehead against the button.

9. Write down the road signs you see in the machine.

Test for Color Blindness

1. Press the Yellow “Advance” button so that number “3” is lined up with the “FAR” slot.

2. Press your forehead against the button on the top of the testing machine.

3. Look in the lenses – remember to keep your forehead against the button.

4. Write down the numbers you see hiding inside the circles.
